Cyber Essentials Scheme
(CE & CEPLUS)
The UK Government recognise the challenge from the current cyber threat and have the ambition to tackle it head on, and Cyber Essentials is very much at the heart of their National Cyber Security Strategy.
Designed to be a first step to help organisations protect themselves from 80% of the most common internet threats, this online self-assessment option allows organisations to assess themselves against the five most basic security controls with a qualified assessor verifying the information provided. Cyber Essentials certification will give you and your customers peace of mind that your defences will protect against most of the common cyber-attacks. The Cyber Essentials self-assessments are available through a secure hosted platform powered by the Cyber Essentials assessment platform.
With Cyber Essentials Plus, a qualified assessor examines the five controls with a technical audit of your systems to verify that controls are in place. This higher level of certification requires you to complete the online assessment followed by a technical audit. The audit includes a representative of user devices, all internet gateways, all servers (virtual and physical), and cloud services. A suitable random sample of these systems will be tested to ensure that the correct protections are in place.

MDR (Managed Detection and Response)
Kompingo Managed Detection and Response has integrated Microsoft Sentinel with our SOC (Security Operations Centre). This allows us to orchestrate automated operations and takes threat Intel from various sources, including OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence Techniques), product partners, and proprietary gathered sources, into our platform. We then use that data to generate threat hunting in customers’ environments automatically.
Sentinel has many use cases out of the box, but Kompingo has tuned and enhanced many of these. Additionally, we have developed our own library of playbooks and threat hunting plans.
